Don’t you just hate when you plan the perfect dinner party, but then someone you deliberately didn’t invite turns up? An Ideal Host presents an evening with Liz (Nadia Collins) and Jackson (Evan Williams), a sweet Australian couple who wish to entertain old friends and show off their new home in the country; except nothing goes according to Liz’s immaculate plan when they discover that heavy-drinking Daisy (Naomi Brockwell) is tagging along with Kyle (Daniel Buckle), her gay BFF, who's bringing along the Grindr date he met last night. And if that wasn’t bad enough, aliens from outer space have the nerve to invade Earth during Liz’s party. And she’s not about to stand for that! Soon, the evening turns into chaos with apocalyptic consequences. An Ideal Host provides a bit of everything for fans of horror comedies. Sharp observational humor at first, disintegrating into vicious insults and catfighting; then paranoia, a bloody fight to survive, gore and...tentacles.
