Joining us from Norway for a 40-minute conversation are Director/Writer Viljar Bøe and Producer Karl Oskar Åsli of TIL FREDDY, winner of the Nevermore Jury Award for Best Psychological Thriller. They will be telling fun stories and anecdotes about the making of the film as well as answering questions you might have about the movie. Much more than just a simple Q&A, this promises to be a funny and delightful conversation with some of the rising and award-winning talents in the Norwegian film industry.

TIL FREDDY is Viljar Boe’s first feature as a writer/director. Viljar Bøe is a 23-year-old writer/director from Bergen, Norway. He’s been interested in filmmaking his entire life, buying his first camera at the age of 11 filming zombie films with his family. He has a bachelor in Film & TV Production from Nord University and has started on his master’s at NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. He has currently written and directed three short films, one feature film; and currently doing post-production on his second feature film and has his third in development.


Karl Oskar Åsli, 23, is a producer from Namsos, Norway. He has always loved storytelling whether it has been films, games, books, or his grandfather telling him stories. He started on his filmmaking-journey in upper secondary school when one of his teachers ignited his interest in making films. He has a bachelor's degree in film production and is now taking his master's degree. He has also co-founded the production company, Fredagsfilm. Karl Oskar has produced short films, a feature film, and two TV-drama pilots, and he has also directed two short documentaries. He currently has his second feature in post-production and his third feature – as well as two short films – in development.


Nicolai Narvesen Lied, 24, is an actor from Larvik, Norway. He had his first taste of acting and filmmaking at the age of 15 when he participated in a week-long film making course. After that, he was hooked. He joined the local theatre and participated in several productions. He also took a year off from school to study theatre and musicals. While taking a bachelor in animation and visual effects, he acted in several short films for film students. This was also when he acted in his first feature film TIL FREDDY, and his second feature film that is currently in post-production.
