Peter "Drago" Tiemann - Director

THE STAIRS is Drago’s directorial debut after 20 years behind the camera as a Second Unit Director and Stunt Coordinator. He has a 100% safety record and is the Chair for the SAG/AFTRA Stunt & Safety Committee for the Pacific Northwest, he is also member of the Directors Guild of America.

This is Drago’s fourth feature film as a Producer, and he is the Co-Founder of Wandering Dragon Productions & Hazard Factory Stunts & FX.

Amanda Rae Jones - Producer

An experienced financial executive with a demonstrated history of working in emerging and high velocity industries. Amanda is an accomplished financial professional, a successful film producer, a published author and a certified sommelier. She is the Co-Founder of Wandering Dragon Productions and Hazard Factory Stunts & FX. She is known for her work on The StairsBurn It All (2021) and Alone We Fight (2018).

Ryan Purcell - Director of Photography

Ryan Purcell is a Director of Photography with extensive experience shooting narrative, documentary and commercial work.  His love of fine lighting, lyrical style, and clear focus on content and story elevate each project he takes on. He worked under, and learned from, such acclaimed cinematographers as Haskell Wexler and Sven Nyquist early on in his career, and observing their process greatly influenced him. He was recently awarded Best Feature Film Cinematography for the film “The Stairs” from the European Cinematography Awards. He is an avid reader who spent his childhood and teen years living in Holland and Germany traveling extensively with his family across Europe, which left him with a love of travel and a keen desire to understand people and their stories.

Jason Lowe - Writer

I've had an unquenchable thirst for films since childhood. No matter the genre, if it is good, I've seen it. I've been on movie sets in the Pacific Northwest since 2006 in roles including Actor, Production, Sound, Special Effects and Stunt Utility. I was an Executive Producer on the last film by Wandering Dragon Productions, which is currently in distribution. For this screenplay, we wanted to capture what we know, the Pacific Northwest. We live very close to some of the most beautiful and haunting landscapes in the USA. This script is an amalgamation of personal experiences and imagination from all of our years in Washington State.

Peter Spawn - Creature Effects Technician

Peter Spawn [The Mad Scientist Puppeteer] is a builder, an avid tinkerer, and a maker. His interest in film comes from his love of practical effects on screen. His background as a lifelong commercial carpenter influences his creative focus on making puppets, animatronics, and models that come alive with haunting effect. At home in the art department his expertise comes from materializing curiosity. He constructs concepts with physics in mind and approaches projects in a systematic and scientific way. His mechanical eye and creative mind guides puppet creation and the way it interacts with the scene. He looks to combine his technical mind with directing films. Off the set he hosts an online puppet-makers forum, consults on projects, and is active in making scenes and effects for the haunt industry. When he is not making special effects or in the workshop he is the lead technician on building hydraulic models for an engineering consulting firm in Seattle.
