Join us for a 40-minute conversation with a multitude of directors, producers, and cast members from a broad selection of Nevermore shorts. Much more than just a simple Q&A, this promises to be a funny and delightful conversation with many of the rising and award-winning talents in the industry.

Writer/Director Biography - Jason Cook (FUCKING GHOSTS)

Jason Cook is writer/director living in Los Angeles. With a background in advertising that started in design and animation, and transcended into commercial directing, Jason has a unique approach to storytelling. His love of comedy led him to join forces with SUPERFUNNY, a live comedy variety show where he wears many hats as director, producer, and brand director. Jason's sensibility straddles the line between the everyday banality of life and the surreal. Pretty much, he's always down to get weird.


Producer/FX Artist - Matt Falletta (THE RELIC)

Having worn many hats within the entertainment industry for over 30 years Matt has accumulated a vast degree of knowledge in the disciplines of stunt work, acting, set and prop building, mechanical effects and special makeup effects. A co-owner of Los Angeles based special effects company S.O.T.A. he continues to create new projects utilizing a myriad of disciplines collected over the years. 

 

Director Biography - Ashley George (DIABLA)

Ashley is a director and producer based in New York. She's currently developing several projects including her feature directorial debut, intimate supernatural horror WAVE MOTHER, as well as feature drama PUNJABI FAMILY DINNER, as producer. Her work has screened at festivals such as Fantasia, Women in Horror, Outfest, Nashville, Cleveland & Milwaukee.


Actor/Producer Biography – Josephine Chang & Edward Hong (MAKE A WISH)

Josephine Chang and Edward Hong are the producers & actors for "Make A Wish", an accidental horror comedy short film which started as Josephine's demo reel footage project intended to be shot on a cell phone. It somehow exploded into something dramatically more as it has been accepted in over 100 film festivals, most notably HollyShorts, Nightmares, Screamfest, FilmQuest, NYC Horror, and many more with numerous award accolades especially to Josephine Chang for Best Actress. This is their very first produced project together and to this day, the two still haven't killed each other yet. While they're not busy doing absolutely nothing productive, they occupy their time with their three fur cat babies.


Director Biography - Christian Klein (SWEET NOTHINGS)

Christian Klein is an emerging director based in Los Angeles. He began his career as a freelance editor and VFX artist, while developing personal directorial projects on the side. In 2019, the first of those projects came to fruition: a drag queen music video for rock duo Migrant Motel. The second, Sweet Nothings, is now his first short-form narrative since the student film days at the Florida State University, from which he holds a B.F.A. in Animation and Digital Arts. Christian is currently employed as a full-time motion graphics artist for Ingenuity Studios, where he has contributed to projects such as The Social Dilemma, Freaky, and Dolly Parton's A Holly Dolly Christmas. 


Producer Biography - Maya Korn (DIABLA)

A UK/German native, Maya has produced in Beijing, New York, Mexico City and London. Prior to this, she moonlighted in marketing (The Weinstein Company; BBC and Film Society of Lincoln Center) before landing in the female content space (Refinery 29 & Maven Pictures). She is a Columbia University Creative Producing MFA Graduate ’19 & WIF Creative Producing Mentorship Program ‘20.


Director/Writer Biography - Joshua M. Logan (THE RELIC)

Director/Photographer/Editor J.M. Logan started working in movies in 1986 at twelve years old getting coffee for the Art Department. He moved from his native Austin, Texas to Los Angeles in 1996 to pursue a career in Special Effects. Never satisfied working in one aspect of movies for long, ten years making big rubber monsters was enough, and he began exploring other careers in film. Managing a Visual Effects company, a Sound House, Post Production Supervising and Producing led to his Directing and Producing his first feature film, FAMILY Continuing to (2006). He has shepherded Post Production for indie such as CYRUS, CEDAR RAPIDS, JEFF, WHO LIVES AT HOME, STOKER, RUBY SPARKS, THE WAY, WAY BACK, THE EAST, and BREATHE IN.


Director Biography - Christopher G. Moore (BACKWARD CREEP)

Christopher G. Moore is an award-winning filmmaker from North Carolina whose short films have screened at festivals across the country. His horror short Foodie was even featured in an online New Yorker article about cannibal movies. As to influences, Star Wars was the film that truly initiated his love for cinema and filmmaking, because it engaged his imagination and made him realize the impact that movies can have on audiences. He's currently working on a feature film script based on his upcoming horror short, Backward Creep.


Producer/Cinematographer/FX Artist - Roger Nall (THE RELIC)

Roger Nall is seasoned film and television professional with over thirty years in the business. He is the president and creative director of the award-winning visual effects shop 11:11 MediaWorks. A member of the Visual Effects Society, he has served as Visual Effects Supervisor for over 35 productions including 12 Strong for which he was nominated for a Visual Effects Society Award. Nall grew up in the theater as a set and lighting designer including a stint at the Dallas Theater Center as the Master Electrician/Lighting Designer. He came to Hollywood to attend the American Film Institute graduating with a degree in Production Design. Since then, he has worked on over a hundred projects serving as writer, director, production designer, props master, and scenic artist . In addition to his work in the industry, Nall restores classic cars (currently a 65 Mustang) and is a championship-winning flag football coach.


Producer Biography - Kelly Parker (FUCKING GHOSTS)

Kelly is the producer of FUCKING GHOSTS. She is the proud owner of Mary Ellen Moffat, based in Los Angeles. Her feature producing credits include MONDO HOLLYWOODLAND (Best Creative Vision, DTLA Film Festival). Her recent short film credits include THE WORKPLACE, making it’s premiere on DUST in early 2021, along with CLOCK & COSTUME CHANGE which are currently streaming on Hulu. Kelly has 8+ years experience in higher education and currently serves as the VP, Student Affairs for Columbia College Hollywood and the Executive Director for the annual CCH Film Fest. Parker also serves as a Jury Member of the NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) Best of NFMLA Annual Awards and is a proud member of both Women In Film and Film Independent. She holds a B.F.A. Acting and a Minor in English from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.


Director Biography – Tara Price (TEA TIME)

In addition to "Tea Time" Tara wrote and directed the critically acclaimed, horror/sci-fi short film "Earworm" starring Ernest L. Thomas (from "What's Happening!!" and "Everybody Hates Chris") the film is now available on Amazon Prime. Prior to that Tara penned and produced the award-winning sci-fi short "The Routine" and the throw-back comedy "Another Grace & Johnny Adventure: Zombie Island!" She also directed the 80s-themed music video for the song "The Worst Thing" by The Skanx. Tara and her husband recently moved from Los Angeles to the coast of Maine where they live next to a graveyard with their three adopted cats. She's thrilled to be a part of this year's Nevermore line-up.

Director Biography - Sarah Wisner, Sean Temple (THORNS)

Sarah Wisner and Sean Temple are a writing and directing team committed to telling character-driven genre stories with personal and socially-conscious themes. They believe that the horror genre is an invaluable entry point to exploring the human psyche and social condition, and that horror is most effective when it achieves high levels of audience engagement and identification. Wisner and Temple use subtlety and nuance to invite their audiences to derive their own layers of meaning from their thoughtfully composed visuals. Their short films have been featured in numerous festivals and contests, including Fantastic Fest, Beyond Fest, Independent Film Festival Boston, Sidewalk Film Festival, and many more.


Director Biography - The Summers Brothers (I'LL BE BACK TOMORROW)

The Summers Brothers are Robert and Russell Summers, twin independent filmmakers based in Austin, Texas. They co-write/ produce/direct their own projects and have created branded content for various prestigious clients. Their previous shorts THE BENCH and the award-winning COUPLES NIGHT and SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE have played at film festivals around the world.
