<p>Ermanno is a guy who spends his days between slot machines and little thefts. Lena has come to Italy from Poland to sell her baby and start a new life. Ermanno has to pretend to be the father of the baby so that he can entrust the newborn to his uncle Fabio. As Lena rejects her motherly desire, Ermanno starts to assume his role as he was the actual father of Sole, the baby girl. Unexpectedly, they will experience family life together and create an intense connection among them.</p>

New Italian Cinema Events is a truly unique event, a collective one, an act of cultural and social communication with the intent to show and appreciate newest feature films that show contemporary Italian life and culture. For the 2020 edition, the festival chose to have an important selection of films by female directors, wishing for a real and significant increase in visibility and relevance for women in the film industry in Italy as well as everywhere in the world. A free admission film festival online made possible thanks to the support of Penn Cinema & Media Studies. All movies in Italian with English subtitles, and available ONLY in PA State.
