In this film Bogaert explores one particular place in the world through postcards. Bogaert collected 200 postcards, all sent from the same terrace on the top of Monte Brè overlooking the bay of Lugano, from the early nineteen hundreds until today. He uses front and backside of the postcards, both the image and the text, to start a nostalgic evocation. Then he traveled to this place to film the terrace, the Lugano Bay and the surrounding mountains from the air with his old Super 8 camera. The postcards come to life and take the viewer along to this beautiful site that until today overwhelms by its astonishing nature. It makes us aware of the importance to preserve such inspiring and contemplative places. 2020; 19 min.
