Juan Félix Sánchez was a hermit artist who dedicated his life to crafting textiles, sculptures, and monuments to the divine spirit in one of the most remote and breathtaking valleys in the Andes. Guided by the beauty of the wilderness and a faith in something greater than himself, he is considered to be one of Venezuela’s most respected artists. Filmmaker Adrian Geyer’s parents and their friends helped to disseminate his work in the ‘80s when Geyer was just a boy. Decades later, with no memory of meeting Juan, he retraces his parents’ footsteps in search of this artist’s legacy, the profound impact he had on his parents, and in turn on him, as he prepares to become a father himself. A poetic and powerful meditation on memory, legacy, and the transcendental power of art, this unforgettable film takes us on a mystical and contemplative journey full of wonder and beauty.
