Black Pride Celebration (BPC) is a digital and live music festival that highlights Black LGBTQIA+ artists every Pride season. The show was created in the summer of 2020 in Seattle, WA. A direct response to the underrepresentation of Black LGBTQIA+ artistry at Pride events, BPC stimulates our community with musical storytelling. It is our mission to spread joy by celebrating the vast beauty of the Black diaspora.

BPC Volume 3 features the musical stylings of Roulette Delgato, Jaiden Grayson, and Divine Augustine. Each artist’s aesthetic and personality are incorporated in the lighting and set design for the digital show. The final product is a musically immersive video showcase. About the artists:

DIVINE AUGUSTINE

Divine Augustine is an artist and performer who planted his roots in the Pacific Northwest 10 years ago. Originally from Tennessee, newfound freedom and creative inspiration caused him to never look back. As an artist he reflects the times with his sultry singing, electric raps, and airy dance moves. His music ranges from classic R&B, house, funk, hip-hop & soul.

The power of androgyny, spirituality, and sexual liberation are driving forces in his music and performance art. He aims to be limitless in his pursuit of spreading joy and love through his art in hopes to enrich human souls all across the world.

JAIDEN GRAYSON

At 28 years old, Jaiden Grayson displays the duality of an old soul with young faith in humanity. Through their music, Jaiden reaches into the core memories of generational truths to unpack and redefine perceptions around Black culture. Ultimately, Jaiden’s music is a statement to their multifaceted truth as a queer, non binary Black person and mother. With a debut EP releasing in September of 2022, it is safe to say this artist is boundless.

In February of 2022, the release of their single ‘MaMa’ created controversy for its strong lyricism and unapologetic tone. When an artist has that “it” factor they cannot be concerned with the impressions of the present. Experience creates understanding. In Jaiden Graysons music, you get a timeless experience and are initiated into their world of constant development. Safe to say, this artist is on the rise and we have yet to experience the layers, talent, and vision of Jaiden Grayson. Stay tuned.

ROULETTE DELGATO

Roulette Delgato is an American Rapper, singer, and songwriter born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He is best known for rapid speed rap ability with clarity, a slow and witty metaphoric flow, as well as a unique singing voice.

He has released two mixtapes. Russian Roulette vol.1 (2008) and Russian Roulette vol.2 “The threat” (2012). He has also released two studio albums. The Antidote (2009) and Superhuman (2014).

He has been doing music for twenty years and counting and has a multitude of live performances under his belt. Roulette Delgato is the recipient of four West Coast Hip-Hop Awards. One for Video of the year for his out of the box themed video “Android” (2014), Artist of the year (2016), the “Courage Award” (2018) for facing adversity as an openly gay Artist, and most recently “Portland’s Rapper of the year Award” (2019).

He has opened shows for many established and up and coming artists such as, Ice Cube, Ginuwine, Baby Bash, ZAPP Band, Twista, Day 26, Kid Ink, Kirko Bangz, Eazy Mac, Afroman, Wax, Luni Coleone, Gorilla Zoe, E-40, Too Short, Yukmouth, Crooked-I, The Pac, Snow Tha Product, San Quinn, Sleep Dank, Kuzzo Fly, Lil Flip, J Diggs, L’Jay, and Celly Cel.

With his persistence, humbleness, ambition, vulnerability, and honesty through music, Roulette Delgato is sure to be a household name and will be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
