Aliyah is a young black woman who suffers from OCD. With her disorder severely impacting her life, and after encouragement from her irksome friend Sam, she seeks professional help and ends up meeting an eccentric psychologist, Dr. Lucas Blitzen, who gives her a strange pill that allows her to venture into her own mind. In her mind, which manifests as many different locations, she discovers a mysterious box that she is unable to open. Dr. Blitzen claims this will be the key to curing her OCD. After starting the treatment, she begins to have hallucinations that make her life even more difficult. Since her treatment isn’t going as planned, Blitzen cuts her off, and she warns another one of his patients about the dangers of his methods. When said patient quits his program, he goes to her house to confront her, but they are both suddenly transported into her mind where they fight for the box. She wins the fight and throws the box in the ocean, finally content.
