In this high camp comedy, Father Gaylord is a priest intent on denying his homosexuality while trying to keep the rest of the world a “straight” one — but he sucks at it. Meanwhile, his hunky alien ex-lover Queen Bitch has a plan to use cosmic magic to turn the earth into a completely queer planet. As an intergalactic big bang of clashing ideologies explodes in an orgy of gay demons and love that can no longer be hidden, director Harvey Rabbit’s deviantly trashy and smart fantasy world of survival through winks, codes, and laughter exposes the absurdities of heteronormative culture, while reminding us to joyfully resist with song, sequins, and sex.
