Workshop Description:
Join TransCanWork will provide an interactive opportunity for attendees to develop their professional pitch. The workshop will help attendees focus on their strengths so that they are able to “sell” themselves to employers.
Perfecting Your Pitch doesn’t end at employment. Our skills-building workshop will allow participants to build confidence. Their professional pitch can easily be converted to a more personal format so that you always have a way to quickly and efficiently introduce yourself to strangers or other professionals. We will go beyond just developing your pitch, we will spend time practicing how to deliver it with passion… and flair!
Come with questions and leave with answers (and maybe a few more questions!)

About the Workshop Facilitators:
Martha P. Gomez, she/they, has been working with LGBTQ+ identified people for over 25 years. Working with Trans Can Work (TCW) for the last year, Martha has been able to help address the Economic Disparities that affect the TGI (Transgender, Gender-Variant & Intersex) Communities. With TCW's Workforce Development Team, Martha has been able to see the need for specialized training that helps our TGI folx become more confident in their job search and career development.
Ang Cruz, they/she, has worked as part of the communications teams for multiple organizations including Outfest, Young Invincibles, and currently, Trans Can Work. They are a board member with the Transgender Film Center and contributes to various online and print publications. Ang's work has been praised by numerous organizations such as the LA Film Critics Association, HFPA, and NBC Universal and has had projects premiere at Outfest and East West Players.
