Grey Slips Through is an animated short made during the final semester of my Master’s degree. This film explores identity, gender, and familial relationships through sand, a medium in constant flux. This medium serves as a metaphor for the transient nature of memory, identity, and human connection.

This film reflects on the evolving dynamics between a father and a daughter, offering a personal lens into themes of patriarchy, identity formation, and the psychological complexity of families.

Through an experimental animation style, Grey Slips Through invites viewers to reflect on their own familial stories, the roles we inherit, and the identities we continually shape.
