Set in the Dominican Republic, Sara and her nanny Yarisa have a relationship that transcends their class and race conditions: they are the closest thing to a daughter and mother; but an accident will test their intimate loyalty and the innocent illusion of never separating. Visually gorgeous and sometimes potently enigmatic, this is a gut-wrenching drama that pulls the covers off class, privilege, and the remnants of colonialism.
