About the Key Creatives:


Sean Patterson - Director

Sean Patterson is a graduate from the Film Production program at the University of British Columbia, interested in a career in writing for television and directing. Originally from Jamaica and born in the United States, Sean grew up in Switzerland, where she studied film studies in high school. Sean has taken strides to begin her career in film and television over the course of five years, with internships in Ghanaian television, working for Technicolor's Moving Picture Company, serving as editor both at a video production company for commercial shoots and for global livestream events, as well as learning about Vancouver's industry, being an extra on several network television series.


Ross Branch - Producer

Ross Branch is a 22 year old American Filmmaker who strives to bring new perspectives and unconventional topics to the screen. Initially aiming to work in Marketing and Business Management, Ross found the more creative and socially impactful world of filmmaking. Now a core passion, Ross intends to start his visual storytelling career strong with the short films Akin (2021) and Möbius Squad (2021).

Currently majoring in Film Production and minoring in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia, Ross aspires to create films that relate to historical, cultural, societal and environmental issues.


Sam Lin - Cinematographer

Sam spent the first three years of University in a business program. He had the opportunity to shoot a short commercial for a club and that’s when he fell in love with filmmaking. So much so that he felt like he had no choice but to completely change his trajectory to work in film. Now, Sam works for a boutique marketing agency, Kipling Media, as a camera operator.

He has always gravitated towards cinematography as an area of focus and he spends a lot of time in those departments when working on student films.
