PRAYING THE HOURS tells the story of Traveling Man as he journeys from this life into the next. This unusual film uses the story to reconsider the ancient practice of fixed-hour prayer as observed by the Abrahamic faith traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Each prayer is imagined as a character. The Traveling Man is summoned by these prayers/friends with whom he has surprising, unresolved business.
