PTFF Pics is a monthly program put on by the Port Townsend Film Festival. Thank you for supporting the arts and independent film.

Included in this screening is the pre-recorded interview Jane Julian held with Director, Justin Monroe, and Artist, Tim Carey.

You know that old saying, “Be careful what you ask for …?” Tim Carey is a talented, yet unknown, Los Angeles-based artist. In a desperate moment, Tim and the company he works for, Judson Studios, bluff their way into winning the commission to make the world’s largest stained-glass window, beating out 60 companies from around the globe. The problem is, Tim has no idea how to pull this off. HOLY FRIT is a testament to creative risk-taking and deftly illustrates personalities, artistic philosophies, religion, technique, family, tradition... Whew! And the glass! The color! Oh my. This film is funny, tense, and wondrous. It takes art extremely seriously but never takes itself seriously. If you have ever been fascinated by working in glass, you’ll want to see this one.

HOLY FRIT was awarded the 2021 Spirit of the Port Townsend Film Festival Award and won the Audience Choice vote.
