In this infectiously fun and totally queer Aussie TV series reminiscent of Netflix's HEARTSTOPPER, we follow the burgeoning romantic journey of Adam, an eager young artist who has just come out. Surrounded by comedically semi-helpful friends, family and co-workers, the series rarely takes itself too seriously, instead opting for light hearted fare. Early on, Adam finds himself distracted by his brother's friend, leading to a series of events that force him to navigate his intense feelings as he also begins pushing boundaries with his art. In a genre often fraught with the struggles of anti-gay sentiment, SINGLE, OUT instead drops the viewer into a very gay world, allowing for a more simple and joyous sequence of events. The series culminates in Adam's big exhibition, where relationships progress, secrets are shared, and conversations deepen, painting a vivid picture of young love and self-discovery in the modern age.
