Mourning a Brooklyn that is dying by way of capitalism and gentrification, Saul (Cosmo Jarvis, LADY MACBETH) is crushed to discover his grandparent's home will be torn down and replaced by a parking lot. When he meets Zama (Dela Meskienyar), a young Muslim woman dealing with her own lack of autonomy within her strict family, they bond over a mutual desire to reclaim control of their lives. Refusing to go down without a fight, Saul dons a mask and the two lovers set out against the corrupt real-estate tycoon (Jonny Lee Miller, Elementary) responsible for Brooklyn's destruction. Tim Sutton's stripped-down take on a modern superhero vigilante fable is a loud rage-filled cry against capitalist greed and a loving embrace to the last ones standing in New York City. —Joseph Hernandez
