The animated short film Dix Pix is included with the feature film Saint-Narcisse. This program is recommended for persons 18+ due to Mature Content including Nudity, scenes of sexuality and Incest. We're thrilled to host a Q&amp;A with bad-boy queer-indie director Bruce LaBruce after the screening. Dix Pix is a short animated documentary that looks at the gay male/trans/non-binary body and why it is common for people to send naked pictures via dating apps. The documentary takes an experimental approach in its visual style and tackles themes of masculinity, queerness, solitude and the body.All interviews were conducted over the gay dating/hookup app Grindr and feature a series of redrawn and animated dick pics. I received the dick pics on the app and asked the sender why they sent the photos. The responses were interesting and diverse and are presented in the animated documentary Dix Pix.

Commencing with a crotch shot across the bow before launching into a rambunctious laundromat sex scene set to The Poppy Family’s "Where Evil Grows",&nbsp;Saint-Narcisse&nbsp;puts us on notice: Bruce LaBruce is going to take us for a ride.It’s 1972 in Montreal and Dominic (Félix-Antoine Duval) sates his narcissism by snapping Polaroid selfies and gazing longingly at his own reflection. When he learns that his birth mother (Tania Kontoyanni) is still alive, he embarks on a quest to find her. Not only does he discover her living with another woman (Alexandra Petrachuk), he also learns that he has a twin brother Daniel (Duval, again) who’s serving as a whipping boy-toy for a particularly depraved priest (Andreas Apergis). Laying eyes on Daniel, Dominic can see the appeal.LaBruce puts his own irreverent spin on the notion of self-discovery in this occasionally&nbsp;twincestuous&nbsp;tale of doppelgängers, doppelbängers and skewed family values. Bawdy yet affectionate, ribald yet resonant, this singular redemption tale will leave you reeling until the end credits roll.
