There was time in the dim darks distance of time back when Rev first started when one feature film was made in Western Australia every three years. Now, the creative and logistic pool of the state struggles to keep up with the dynamics of a production slate that - until COVID - had back to back production.


We've seen the sophistication of local films grow in this period and we're getting all kinds of local films from all quarters produced without funding and with enormous integrity and production value.


In this panel, we hear from four filmmakers with short films in this year's program about their experiences in getting their excellent works off the ground in WA and how they've managed to navigate the scene with varying levels of funding, experience and budget.
