Give as a gift
In a world where nature has retaliated against humanity's destruction, mutants — half-human, half-plant beings — began to appear. Society rejected them, isolating them in "treatment" zones, while flowers were declared illegal. People caught possessing or transporting flowers faced persecution akin to drug charges. Meanwhile, among the followers of a flower cult, a myth emerged: a Messiah could be awakened through a ritual, one who would destroy technology, restore the natural world, and bring harmony back to Earth.
In the music video: four grim men in leather jackets are driving a young man dressed as a flower deep into the forest. It seems they plan to get rid of him. On a forest clearing, they pick up shovels, but suddenly rip off their jackets, revealing... bee-like bodies! They begin a ritualistic dance, pollinating the flower-like protagonist. With every move, the world starts to transform. Flowers sprout inside the car, break through asphalt, and bloom across the grass. The transformation accelerates as nature begins to consume everything...
Director Biography - Aleksandr Irinarkhov
After earning my MA in Psychology, I pursued a career as a creative producer. I’ve worked at MTV and in 2018, my documentary for Pedigree/BBDO, which I co-directed, won a Bronze Lion at Cannes.
I have a particular passion for music videos, some of which have gained significant recognition. The music video for the band Cream Soda’s song “No More Parties” received a Staff Pick award from Vimeo.com and currently has over 23 million views on YouTube.
I enjoy developing authentic characters, as it expands my understanding of people and their emotions. Details are crucial to me in every aspect of filmmaking, as they give depth and life to a story.
I’m particularly drawn to themes that explore the intersection of ethical and environmental issues, believing that film and art can be powerful tools for addressing global challenges. I’m also passionate about the theme of overcoming differences—both personal and societal. I believe that art should serve as a uniting force, promoting empathy, understanding, and respect across diverse communities.
My diverse experience across various genres allows me to create unique projects that combine creativity, social relevance, and deep human experiences.
