“Within my chest, two hearts beat. If one stops, the other will fall silent and die. Part of me is Palestinian, and the other-Israeli.”

Raida Adon, a video artist, actress & painter, carries a heavy genetic, emotional and historical burden as the daughter of a Muslim mother and Jewish father. When she tries to escape it, this burden explodes in her art. She is the only Arab with a solo exhibition at the Israel Museum. Despite her success, Raida struggles to find her place as a Palestinian artist in Israel. Her search for belonging takes her to Paris, where she discovers that the European art world struggles to accept her complex identity. Raida has a suitcases ready wherever she lives.
