After her father is deported back to Vietnam, Cam runs the family farm in Georgia and volunteers every weekend to urge local communities to vote. When she knocks on the door of a jaded Vietnam War veteran who does not believe in voting, she must stand her ground and convince him otherwise.

Inspired by true events, a young refugee couple tries to find their place in a new country after the war in Vietnam.

After the fall of Saigon, a young Vietnamese man travels to Paris to find his father who he has not seen since childhood. During this visit, he discovers more about his family's complicated history and how the Southern and Northern Vietnamese conflict continues to affect his life even in France.

Translation of Silence

A family’s remembrance of a loved one lost to police violence two years ago, After Images is a collective portrait of Channara Tom “Philly” Pheap. Holding Philly’s memory in both life and death, After Images is composed of intimate moments of care and chronicles the search for accountability in a system where there is none – in the process becoming a testament to the powerful potential a community can find within each other as they continue fighting with love, support, and resistance. The film hopes to build national media attention and pressure on Knoxville, Tennessee in anticipation of the Pheap family’s civil lawsuit in July 2022, and organizers work with families to continue building community safety and accountability on the ground.

Seattle Asian American Film Festival (SAAFF) celebrates its 10th annual film festival online from March 3-13, 2022. All online programs are available on-demand for the entire festival, with additional drive-in screenings for each of our Special Presentation feature films. All films are only available to viewers within the United States, while some films are geo-blocked to the West Coast, Pacific Northwest, or Washington State only. Some film views are limited, and films can "sell out". Please check each film program for viewing windows and geographic restrictions. SAAFF is the only film festival in Seattle to provide a space for Asian American voices, perspectives and histories by screening independent films by and about Asian Americans across North America, with an emphasis on filmmakers from the Pacific Northwest.
