The ensemble plays arrangements of popular songs and original blues and jazz numbers from the 10-piece ‘territory’ bands of late 20s and early 30s America, such as Benny Moten, Charlie Johnson, Fess Williams and Duke Ellington. They also play material from dance bands from Canada and the UK, such as Guy Lombardo and Bert Ambrose, and some original compositions and arrangements by Ewan himself.
