The Indigenous actors in the film portray both the modern characters as well as their ancestors as the film takes you on a journey between the present and the 1600s. The short was filmed at Lake Anna State Park in Virginia and in California.

When present-day descendants of Tsenacommacah gather to explore shared Powhatan Confederacy heritage, they will awaken the spirit of an ancestor and begin their journey through the history of Cockacoeske, the renowned "Queen of Pamunkey" signatory of the 1677 Treaty of Middle Plantation.
