As Black mothers continue to die in childbirth at alarming rates in the United States, a growing movement of Black midwives is pushing back against a system built to ignore them. Deliver Us follows four visionary midwives in Los Angeles, Chicago, and rural Alabama as they open birth centers, fight restrictive laws, and care for families navigating pregnancy inside a deeply inequitable healthcare system. Through intimate births, personal sacrifice, and political resistance, the film reveals how culturally grounded midwifery is saving lives—and redefining what justice in childbirth can look like.
