Director's Bio: Saidin Salkic was born in Srebrenica, Bosnia. He survived the events in Srebrenica in 1995 as a 13 year-old under the horrific circumstances and moved to Australia in 2001. Inspired by his experiences he has become one of Australia's most prolific artists. Senses of Cinema film magazine has called Salkic: “Master of mood” and “One of the most singular and uncompromising filmmakers currently working in Australia”. Salkic is also a prolific painter and this quality resonates in his cinema. He lives and works in Melbourne.
