Through three personal stories, we learn about LADO Ensemble, the only professional folk music and dance ensemble in Croatia, which has been giving extraordinary performances for 70 years. We learn about LADO’s artists and their everyday lives and challenges.

Nebojša Slijepčević directed numerous creative documentaries, including SRBENKA (2018), GANGSTER OF LOVE (2013), SOMETHING ABOUT LIFE (2016), REAL MAN’S FILM (2012), IN 4 YEARS (2007), and OF COWS AND PEOPLE (2000). His films have earned awards at many international festivals, including four awards at Sarajevo Film Festival. For his television documentaries, he has had three nominations for the Prix Europa Award. His latest documentary feature, SRBENKA, was shortlisted for European Film Awards. In 2019, Nebojša won the Vladimir Nazor Award, an annual honor given by the Croatian Ministry of Culture to Croatian artists for high achievement in film. Nebojša is also a mentor and lecturer at the School of Documentary Film in Zagreb.
