Lovin’, Livin’, & Givin’ is how DeMarcio lives his life.
A detailed oriented, neat freak – who enjoys the quiet hours of a Sunday morning, just as much as the hectic energy of planning a large party, or hosting a show, DeMarcio continues to do his part to entertain, and enlighten Denver audiences.
Born in 1976, DeMarcio’s family moved from the gritty, urban environment of Chicago, Il to Colorado Springs CO in the early 1980s. The constant stand out, DeMarcio grew up in an all-white neighborhood, and was educated in all white schools, until entering high school. Although considered upper-middle class, DeMarcio’s parents were painfully strict, intimidating, and applied incredible pressure on him as the oldest, as he was tasked to help raise his three younger sisters.
DeMarcio was fortunate to receive a scholarship to attend college, and found a successful career in hotel management, and leadership training. He now works for Denver Mayor Hancock, as assistant to the Mayor’s family, and planning their special events.
For the past 20years DeMarcio has volunteered for the LGBTQ community Center of Colorado, assisting with the implementation of Denver PRIDEFest.
As Entertainment Coordinator & Emcee of Denver PRIDEFest, DeMarcio entertains hundreds of thousands, with his quick wit, kind humor, and unique stage outfits. For over a decade, his expertise and determination has helped grow Denver PRIDE to one of the largest celebrations in the country; with over 425,000 guest attending the (last in-person) festival in 2019.
In his spare time, DeMarcio is a child at heart. He can often be found listening to his favorite singer Diana Ross, playing with his Transformers toy collection, or in the gym working out. DeMarcio is also a Certified Fitness Trainer & Nutritionist, and enjoys helping educate others on how to achieve their fitness goals.
Despite having served as Entertainment Coordinator & Emcee of PrideFEST for the past 18 years, DeMarcio’s proudest accomplishment is the wonderful life he as created with his husband of 9 years, Shane, who he would like to sincerely thank for allowing Denver PRIDEFest to be a part of their marriage.
