CLICK HERE for a recording of the excellent Shared Legacies PANEL DISCUSSION featuring Rabbi Ariana Capptauber, Reverend Earl Harris, Doctor Susannah Heschel, filmmaker Dr. Shari Rogers, and moderator Jeanette Krebs.

While Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the face of the '60s Civil Rights era, less remembered are the Jewish leaders who backed his efforts at racial equality and harmony, who walked with him across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, and spoke with him at the March on Washington. Shared Legacies shines a light on the relationship between the African-American and Jewish communities during that turbulent time, as well as on the fraying of that bond in recent years, and the urgency to reconnect today, when seeds of hate in America are taking root anew.
