When an actress goes looking for the man who assaulted her, she turns her trauma into art and asks the question nobody wanted her to: why didn't you do anything?

After being sexually assaulted during a massage, Bàrbara Mestanza did what so many are told not to: she fought back. Filthy follows her as she channels her experience into a raw, fearless theatre play while simultaneously pursuing her aggressor through years of legal proceedings that demand as much of victims as they do of perpetrators. What emerges is a deeply personal reckoning with guilt, trauma and the slow, gruelling work of reclaiming agency. Her pursuit of justice runs parallel to her creative process, each feeding the other as she confronts toxic masculinity and a system that too often fails those it should protect.
