Director, writer and star Taylor Olson plays Jamie, a young man who works as a clear feller, destroying acres of forest for a local pulp mill. It’s grinding, soul-destroying work, and so is living in his tiny, backwoods Nova Scotia hometown. At the end of each shift, he repentantly looks for injured animals and rescues those he can. Something’s got to snap – will it be him? Adapted from Catherine Banks’ Governor General award-winning play, this micro-budget Canadian feature is an unflinching look at the crushing pressure of rural toxic masculinity, featuring a bravura central performance and a commitment to emotional truth.

“The brute force of the film is matched by its raw humanity and deeply sensitive approach…” (Benjamin Poole - The Movie Waffler)

“This film is a raw, intense, and disquieting odyssey.” (Pat Mullen - That Shelf)
