A microbudget, improvised drama, The Land follows the lives of its three main characters over a few tense days, as their lives quickly implode after an old friend returns to bring some long-held secrets to the fore. Filmed over the course of three years, it's a cinematic experiment between academic and filmmaker Gregory Ferris, internationally renowned photographer Ingvar Kenne, and the award-winning actor/playwright Steve Rodgers (Rush) and award-winning actor/writer Cameron Stewart. The film stars Rodgers and Stewart, alongside Anna Lise Phillips (Animal Kingdom, The Boys). A story of a friendship tested by a very dark secret with a storyline that fractures into two distinct parallel narratives, The Land is a bold and confronting character-driven drama.
“We’re transported to a different kind of civilization where two men have to face the music when they find themselves abusing their power in society.” Frankie Stein, Film Daily
