Valley of Exile is a story about sisterhood set against the backdrop of war and migration. The film chronicles the journey of Rima and Nour, two sisters who find shelter in a makeshift refugee camp in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley after fleeing war-torn Damascus. Eight months pregnant, Rima is desperate to reunite with her husband and rent an apartment before their baby is born. But Nour has other plans. After learning their brother has joined a rebel group operating somewhere in the Bekaa Valley, she embarks on a mission to track him down, jeopardizing her safety – and their future in Lebanon – in the process.
