Between 1975 and 1977, Italian motorcycle designer Giancarlo Morbidelli won four World Championship titles in two different classes with his home-built motorcycles, pitted against Japan's big and well-funded factory teams. Starting with the mopeds he tuned as a teenager at the end of World War II and his first racing bike build with some friends in 1969, Morbidelli's success was assured.

Speed, talent, and bravado are mixed in a story that involves men and machines, passion and tradition, risk and tragedy. From his friendship with Enzo Ferrari and inside-stories on strategy and team rivalries, the story is told by Morbidelli himself, his riders, and mechanics, alternating between original racing footage and contemporary interviews. It doesn't focus only on the results, but also on the feelings, efforts and struggles of the team; to remember an era when David was still able to beat Goliath.

Featuring interviews with famed racers: Mario Lega, Graziano Rossi, Pier Paolo Bianchi, Alberta Ieva, Eugenio Lazzarini and more.
