
Last May in Palestine tells the story of journalist Rabeea Eid who returns to Palestine from the United Kingdom after the assassination of journalist Shireen Abu-Akleh in May 2022. In his film, Rabeea captures the aftermath of Abu-Akleh's death, and revisits his archived footage that he captured the year earlier in Haifa and relives the May 2021 unity protests that spread across Palestine following Israel's plans to ethnically cleanse the Sheik Jarrah neighbourhood.
