Join Tony Award-nominee Heidi Schreck about her Pulitzer-finalist play “What the Constitution Means to Me,” joined by co-stars Thursday Williams and Rosedely Ciprian, plus Hannah Bigbee and Jayden Lopez of Generation Citizen, Corey Mitchel, a staff writer at Education Week, Tyunique Nelson of Advocates for Youth, and Danielle Hopkins, Jordan Medley, and Javontre Booker. In the play Schreck brings the audience along as she recalls her youth as a fifteen-year-old Constitutional debater in 1989 considering women's rights, immigration, and domestic abuse among other themes. The play was named by Time Magazine in their 10 Best Theater Performances of 2019. Through the play's partnership with Level Forward and Generation Citizen, the team will launch a bespoke “Beyond the Ballot” campaign featuring youth delegates sharing 15 second videos detailing how they would each amend the Constitution. Join us to watch the play and add your video to the Beyond the Ballot campaign.
