Broadway star, Ari Afsar, and the most-produced U.S. playwright, Lauren Gunderson, have come together to commemorate one of our foremothers with their new musical, Jeannette. Through original songs, music, and storytelling they tell the true story of Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected into Congress four years before the ratification of the 19th amendment; the amendment giving white women the right to vote.
