LEA GOTTLEIB, a Holocaust survivor from Hungary, starts making swimsuits in her tiny Tel Aviv apartment. She goes on to create gorgeous and world-famous swimwear for her company, Gottex. Her daughters worked with her, but her dominant personality and passion for her business caused trouble in their relationship and created havoc within Gottex.

Discussion with Keren ben Horin, fashion historian, curator, author, and co-creator of the documentary film Mrs. G. With vibrant illustrations, photographs, and never-before-seen footage, we will explore how fashion shaped what it means to be Israeli and what roles designers like Lea Gottlieb played in that process.
