A​s a​ young immigrant from Hungary, JOSEPH PULITZER builds a newspaper empire, crusades against big business and corruption, and champions the rights of poor and disenfranchised people. He leads a campaign to keep the Statue of Liberty in New York City and courageously takes on President Teddy Roosevelt.​ His lasting legacy is the creation of the Pulitzer Prize for excellence in Journalism and the Arts.

Join Chris Daley, Professor of Journalism at Boston University and author of Covering America: A Narrative History of a Nation’s Journalism, for an exploration of topics from the film, including fake news and yellow journalism.
