It is April 9, 1940 when Nazi Germany invades Denmark; the Danish government surrenders and cooperates with the Nazi occupiers. But Denmark's gentile ambassador to the United States of America, Henrik Kauffmann, refuses to follow the German directives. Wheeling and dealing with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Kauffman engineers an audacious, brilliant plan to defeat Hitler’s intention to deport the Danish Jews.
