Henrietta Szold founded Hadassah, helped establish a modern healthcare system in pre-state Israel, and later led Youth Aliyah efforts that rescued thousands of Jewish children from Nazi Europe. Yet her name remains far less familiar than her impact. Peabody Award-winner Abby Ginzberg brings Szold into focus and gives one of the most consequential Jewish women of the 20th century the attention she deserves.
