Teenager Elyse keeps two secrets from her homophobic parents. The first is that she's a lesbian, and the second is that she has a long distance girlfriend. One night at the dinner table, household tensions rise, and Elyse can no longer stay quiet. Her parents’ response is not what she had hoped for, but unfortunately what she expected.
