On the night of 4 March 1975, eight Palestinian terrorists commandeered the Savoy Hotel in Tel Aviv, taking most of the guests and staff members hostage. One of the guests, 31-year-old, Arabic speaker Kohava Levi, courageously tried to save lives by assisting with the negotiations between the terrorists and the Israeli forces. But instead of being celebrated for her heroism, Levy, a married woman who checked in at the hotel with her lover, was mistaken for a prostitute and ridiculed by the media. This hybrid film –featuring both archival footage and reenactments starring acclaimed Israeli actress Dana Ivgy –is a brave exploration of different forms of oppression.

Security measures, including bag searches, will be in operation at this year's festival. Please allow a little extra time for this when planning your journey.
