Darius Matheson is a Director, Producer, Writer and Entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in the film industry. She came up through the Assistant Director ranks on The Twilight Series, Final Destination 5 and Final Cut. Having lived part time in Ghana, West Africa for the past 2 years, Darius is devoted to seeing Ghana become the epi-centre of film production in Africa. To this end she is co-founder of V1 Film Studios in Accra, Ghana. She remains a lifelong traveler and a student of cultures and people. Darius is an active member of the Directors Guild of Canada.

- Beginning of artistic activity in the field of theater as a professional actor and director in 2001

- Beginning of filmmaking activities in Iranian Young Cinema Association (IYCS) the fields of film directing and cinematography

- Making more than 40 short and semi feature films, teasers, and TV documentaries

- Passing the screenwriting and film review course.

As a filmmaker, I was very concerned to make an effective film about colonialism and domineering powers and to expose the lies that were used to destroy cultures and races. A history and past that is full of lies to other nations. Peace is never achieved through colonialism.



Daniel Muchina is a film & video artist working and living in Nairobi, Kenya. He's the co-founder and director at Monsoons Creative Studio, an independently registered and licensed film production company. Muchina is currently helping run a program called Art & Science Films Afrika (ASFA) designed to investigate ritual practices in prehistoric Africa, and the role art plays as a vestige of the knowledge informing these rituals. Using film and video, the program seeks to build a bridge to link indigenous systems of knowledge embodied in African mythologies with modern Africa.

One man’s journey to finding freedom from the descendant pain of slavery. Renowned African sculptor, Kwame Akoto-Bamfo provides a lesson, an antidote and a realignment of moments in history on a visual pilgrimage in Ghana to uncover hidden truths, engage with powerful African traditions and scratch at something deep inside the human heart.
