After the death of her beloved husband John Rehm, Peabody-award winner Diane Rehm began to examine the option of medical aid in dying. After a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, Diane’s late husband sought medical assistance in dying but found it was not a legal option where they lived. Interweaving the Rehms’ experience with those of other patients and families across the U.S. and expert opinion, this documentary feature offers a moving and informative examination of the right to die movement and the facts and the misinformation surrounding this controversial practice. Discussion with director Joe Fab, producer Diane Naughton, and subject Diane Rehm, moderated by Jim Childress to occur live on Thursday, October 22 at 5:30 PM. A private link to register for the live Zoom conversation will be emailed to all passholders and patrons who unlock this event prior to the scheduled conversation.
