A young pool shark (Jay) is caught up in a world of underground gambling and struggling to make ends meet. His luck seems to change when he lands a job with a moving company, but it soon leads him to even more trouble. A coming of age drama with dark comedic undertones, the film reflects on many of the challenges facing a generation entering adulthood in the early 2020's, including declining labor standards, rising costs of living, the damaging effects of addiction and rising homelessness. SWAMPER is an homage to The Hustler (1961), in the style of the neo-realist, "Kitchen Sink" movement of the early 1960's
