Zoe is in her early twenties and on track for her ideal life. She's already engaged, co-owns a house, and has landed a job as an intern at an architecture firm. Everything is going as planned until she is kidnapped by a female serial killer.

The killer, Alina, believes death gives people a bliss they lack in life. Zoe fights to stay alive as she's confronted with questions about her true self and purpose. But the longer she manages to postpone her death, the more she finds herself bonding with a murderer. Julia Sarah Stone and Emily Tennant do a great job playing the victim and the psycho respectively, making a somewhat unimaginable scenario believable. Ms Stone is a WFF regular, as we have previously showcased her work in MARLENE (2022), AN INTROVERT’S GUIDE TO HIGH SCHOOL (2020), HONEY BEE (2018) and THE SPACE BETWEEN (2017). Director Lutter has made a specialty of creating elevated genre films (THE HOLLOW CHILD, 2017), as well as a number of highly praised shorts.
