In 2012, Jonas Chernick attended WFF with two films in the Borsos competition: BLOOD PRESSURE and the Audience Award-winning MY AWKWARD SEXUAL ADVENTURE, with SWINGERS’ WEEKEND following in 2017. Director Jeremy Lalonde is also a familiar talent, previously bringing us the perilously funny SEX AFTER KIDS (2013) and HOW TO PLAN AN ORGY IN A SMALL TOWN (2015). Chernick and Lalonde are masters of eroticomedy with a penchant for writing nerds as central characters, and we welcome the return of Canada’s most inventive creative comedy team to Whistler.

Their latest joint venture centers on a time-traveling obsessive-compulsive young scientist visited by his nihilistic future self. Future James warns his current self to abandon time-travel before his life erodes in catastrophe, and present James entertains his futuristic visitor for a while - until he begins to imagine that his secret crush and best friend Courtney prefers his high-energy doppelganger. What follows is a comic Freudian battle that allows Chernick to play both his trademark neurotic persona and to explore a much more hipster version of himself. As with all of Lalonde and Chernick’s cinematic ventures, laugh-out-loud entertainment is guaranteed.
