This film gives a fictionalized origin story to the powerful “Rosie the Riveter” character depicted in J. Howard Miller’s poster. There is no proof that any singular woman was the inspiration for the artwork, leaving historians speculating for generations.

We want to give this Rosie a story, furthering her image as a strong feminist icon. The themes of feminism and equality are laced throughout this story of a woman discovering her own strength and becoming her own hero. We used real “Rosies” experiences to develop the plot, and hope to make a powerful historical fiction narrative to honor the women that paved the way for girls everywhere to pursue careers.
